Steeped in history with 60 miles of stunning unspoilt scenery and a wealth of attractions, the Isle of Wight has something to offer everyone. Noted as perhaps one of the most upmarket areas on the island, Bembridge offers a surprisingly busy harbour that is popular with owners of pleasure craft and fishing boats.
We depart our local area and have a lunch stop at Guildford before our short journey to catch our Isle of Wight ferry.
Today we enjoy a magnificent scenic coach tour using as many coastal routes as possible. We stop at picturesque places throughout the route. It ends in Godshill, a picturesque village comprising thatched cottages, gift shops, craft shops and tearooms. Definitely a day to have your camera with you!
A free day to explore the many activities on offer at Warners.
Today we take you to visit Osborne House, the summer residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Victoria used Osborne for over 50 years, entertaining foreign royalty and visiting ministers, finding solace there after Albert's death in 1861. Today many of the rooms are filled with original furniture and works of art, while planting in the grounds is to Albert's designs.
Our homeward journey includes a leisurely coffee/lunch stop at Polhill Garden Centre. We plan to return to our local area by early evening.
