Come join us as we visit the wonderful adult only Warners venue of Thoresby Hall. Thoresby is 35 minutes north of Nottingham and is set on a slope overlooking a stunning Capability Brown view on the edge of the ancient and spellbinding Sherwood Forest.
After our local pick ups we make a comfort stop before continuing our journey and reaching our 4 star Warner hotel for early afternoon.
After breakfast we make our way to Chatsworth where you can admire the splendor of the house, explore over 105 acres of gardens discovering water features, giant sculptures and beautiful flowers. We include a delicious cream tea in the Carriage House Restaurant.
A free day to enjoy the many activities on offer at Warners.
Today we make our way to Bakewell, set in an enviable location on the banks of the River Wye. This beautiful old market town is in the heart of the Peak District and is famous for its puddings, annual events and for receiving royal charter as a market town in 1330. In the afternoon we make our way to Haddon Hall described by Simon Jenkins as 'the most perfect house to survive from the middle ages'. It is set in the heart of the beautiful Peak District with parts of the house dating back to the 12th century. The house and grounds have played host to no less than three versions of Jane Eyre. Today's visit includes a guided tour of the Hall which lasts approximately one hour.
After breakfast we depart our hotel and stop at Melton Mowbray for free time for lunch before we continue our journey home.
