On the 1st July 1969, Wendy's grandfather commenced trading as Rayleigh Roadways. Over the years the business has evolved into what it is today. This tour will focus on visiting great places in the Malvern and the surrounding area and in the evening celebrating 50 years of Kevendys Travel with evening entertainment.
We depart our local area and travel to the historic town of Bourton on Water. After free time to explore and to purchase refreshments we continue our journey to our hotel for our four night stay.
Today we embark on a morning guided tour of Hereford Castle, home to both the 1217 'final' Magna Carta and the unique covering letter by King John. The cathedral is also home to the Mappa Mundi, one of the oldest maps in the world. We then continue to Hampton Court Gardens before following the 'Elgar Route' through the Herefordshire and Worcestershire countryside.
After a leisurely breakfast we depart for a morning cruise on the River Wye through the lovely scenery of this renowned beauty spot. We then continue south along the River Wye by coach to visit the gothic ruins of Tintern Abbey.
This morning we take you on a panoramic tour of Malvern and the Malvern hills by coach. In the afternoon you are free to explore Malvern further at your own pace, perhaps strolling through the Winter Gardens and boutique shops or taking in a matinee at the Festival theatre. Tonight we enjoy a four course gala dinner followed by a casino evening and disco.
After a leisurely breakfast we bid farewell to our hotel and stop at Stratford upon Avon to enable you to purchase lunch before we continue our journey back home.
