About the event

Day 1  We travel to Folkestone for our crossing to Calais by Eurotunnel.  We then continue to Strasbourg to meet our ship and settle into our cabins.  You will then be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail.  

Day 2 Join us on an excursion today for a guided tour of Frankfurt.  We return back on board to enjoy an evening of entertainment. 

Day 3  Morning spent cruising.  In the afternoon join us on a guided tour of the Castle of Cochem.

Day 4 During the morning our ship will sail on the Moselle.  In the afternoon we explore the old city of Koblenz. 

Day 5 In the morning our ship will sail to Rudesheim.  In the afternoon we take a small train stopping at a wine tasting cellar, followed by a visit to the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments. 

Day 6 In the morning our ship will sail towards Mannheim.  We take you on a tour of Heidelberg with a visit to the castle and the old city.  Tonight is our gala dinner. 

Day 7 Enjoy our last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9am.  We make our way back to Calais for our return Eurotunnel crossing back to Folkestone. 

Please note: for reasons of navigations and passenger safety, Croisieurope reserve the right to modify the itinerary of the cruise.  All drinks during meals and at the bar are included.  Not Included: Champagne, Perrier, wine from the wine list and drinks on excursions.  

MS Gerald Schmitter

Named after the founder of Croisieurope, the MS Gerald Schmitter sails on the Rhine and the Danube, to meet the many wonders offered by these two romantic rivers.  The MS Gerald Schmitter is an intimate-sized Premium ship, measuring 110m long and 11.40m wide.  It can accommodate 174 passengers, in 87 cabins spread over three decks.  All cabins are en-suite with TV, Telephone, Towels, Safe, Independent air-conditioning, Electricity 220V and Wi-Fi.  Located on the middle deck, the restaurant, where all meals are served during the cruise, offers delicate cuisine in a refined setting, where large windows allows guests to fully enjoy the panorama views.  On this same deck is the lounge/bar with a dance floor, while on the sun deck, an ideeal place to relax and admire the landscapes, passengers can enjoy comfortable sunloungers, as well as large shaded areas.
